Individual Categories

For the 6hr endurance race there will be no solo entries under 18yo; all following classes will have a female and a male category

  • Open Class: 18-39yo and any participants over 40 who wish to register as open
  • Masters Class: 40-49yo
  • Super Masters class: 50 and over.
  • E-Bike: all ages in 1 class

For the XCO races the adult classes are the same as in the endurance race. In addition there are the following Junior classes:

  • Junior 13-17yo
  • Junior 8-12yo
If there is less than 3 competitors in an age group the Commissaire will group competitors into a consecutive age group.

    Team Categories

Teams of 2 and teams of 3 are combined for  placings based on gender mix only, not number of team members. That is, there will have be categories of:

    • All Male
    • All Female
    • Mixed
    • Juniors
To Qualify as a junior team, all members must be aged between 13 and 18yo for teams of 3, or 15 and 18 for pairs.
In the spirit of making this a family friendly event, the Open teams can have juniors included as per the following criteria: All teams of 3 can have team members as young as 13yo, Teams of 2 can have members as young as 15yo.

E-Bikes are permitted to participate in the GBomb races. There will be eBike class for 6hr solo and each XC Race, how ever there will be no gender or age splits in the e-Bike classes

In fairness to teams, if a team includes a member riding an E-Bike no placings/podiums will be awarded to that team.
E-Bikes must also comply to Australian Standards EN1594. The Commissaire may perform checks to ensure all bikes meet this standard.

    Dinner vouchers

Clarence catering have come on board again to provide us food throughout the day. And to make your dinner planning easier for Saturday night we have arranged a $10 set meal. The meal will be along the lines of a stew or pasta, with vegetarian options.

In each XCO race and the Endurance race placings will be awarded for each category. The Major prize for the weekend will be awarded to the female and male who score the most points across all 3 races.
