CCMTB Downhill Series Race 1 National Cup Tier 3
9 - 10 March 2019

The CCMTB 2019 Downhill series commences at Ourimbah and is a Tier 3 National Cup event.
Points from this race will add to your National Cup ranking

Race Day: Senior $65 Junior $55
Practice Day: Senior $35 Junior $25

A limited number of practice day (Saturday) shuttles are available for non competitors: $50

All competitors and non competitor shuttle participants must have a valid MTBA race / day licence.

Race Day Sunday 10th March

Registration 730 - 815am (collection of race plate and timing chip) at the trail head

Competitors briefing: 815 - 830 am at the trail head

Practice commences 9am

Race commences at 12 midday

Presentation: 430pm approximate at the trail head

Practice Day Saturday 9th March

Practice shuttles commence at 9am to 4 pm from lower pick up point.

All parking must be at the trailhead.

No parking at the shuttle pick up point

Shuttle wrist bands can be collected at the trail head up until midday on Saturday. To collect a competitor's shuttle day pass you must be listed on the race list for Sunday otherwise you will forfeit your slot. No cash on the day


Shuttle pick up point is at the bottom of Red Hill road before you get to the trailhead.

Please park at the trailhead and ride down to the shuttle pick up area.

NO PARKING at the shuttle pick up point

No self shuttling on race or practice day

This is due to the limited space at the drop off point and efficient turnaround times that will benefit all riders. There will be a marshall in place restricting vehicles onto Scaddens Ridge road

Self shuttles on practice day will only be allowed to Scaddens Ridge Rd turn off point, riders will have to push or ride up the remainder.

Any self shuttles beyond this point will be given a single warning and subsequently disqualified from the event.

Limited shuttle spots are available Saturday for non-competitors, please book online using the competition link.


Photographers will be on the DH course both Saturday and Sunday.

Photographs will be available for free download after the event

Race Day Order

Practice starts will be self-separating

Please respect all riders on the trail

Races will start with fastest Elite and progress to the lower and slower age groups

Race order will be self seeded fastest first


The event will be timed, recorded, displayed and publicised by CCMTB using the Sportident AIR+ package product.

Competitors will collect race plates and timing chips between 730 and 830 am Sunday morning.

The timing chips must be returned on conclusion of your last race run so the results can be uploaded to the live platform.

If you lose your timing chip you will have no race results. You must find the chip immediately! There is no point continuing your race or practice run. There are no replacements. Advise a marshall ASAP who will help you look for it.

If you fail to return your timing chip you will be responsible for its replacement at $100/chip.

Race plates are collectables and not part of the official timing system

First Aid

If you require first aid assistance then see your nearest marshall who will contact the first aid team


Full face helmet is mandatory (no removable chinbar helmets allowed).

U17 and younger categories also must wear knee and elbow guards as well as full finger gloves.

We further recommend neck and back protection.

Body armour is recommended.

Junior Riders

All Junior and especially Under 15/13 riders are expected to have at least sighted the DH trail on the mountain and be riding appropriate bikes for the terrain. We recommend riding our trails in the weeks leading up to your first race. Under 13 yo who have not sighted the trails MUST ride with a parent or guardian.

Entries close 5/3/19 at 9am.
