2020 will see us run two Duo Classic races

Here at the Duo Classic we feel that many riders, and their families have gone through an extremely difficult first half of the year, with the bushfires, floods and the coronavirus. Having two Duo Classic races is a great way to inspire riders and their families to get out, ride and enjoy the freedom of life once more – and participate in a great race.

Duo Classic Kowen is scheduled for Sunday 8 November on the mountain bike trails of Sparrow Hill and East Kowen Forest, just outside of Queanbeyan – home to the Duo Classic!

Duo Classic Stromlo is scheduled for Sunday 6 December and brings pairs racing to the trails of the world class venue of Stromlo Forest Park.

The Duo Classic is a pairs format mountain bike race where riders compete in teams of two in either male, female or mixed teams. This is not a relay style event. It’s about you and your teammate working together to achieve the best result !

First run in 2012, the Duo Classic is aimed at riders of all levels, from beginners and first timers to national and international level riders.  It is designed to engage local and interstate riders and offers a course which is challenging yet completely rideable – from the elite to the family rider. The four distances provide an opportunity for people of varying fitness levels to take part. The Duo Classic is a very relaxed and fun event where riders are encouraged to work together, challenge themselves and each other and, most of all, enjoy themselves.
